ATHENS SIGHTSEEING (inclusive)

A tour of Athens, combines visits to many of the city's modern and historic sights. This tour involves an overview of the modern city which stands in striking contrast to the remnants of its glorious past: the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in front of the Parliament House on the Constitution Square, the Panathenian stadium (site where the first modern Olympic Games took place in 1896), the Presidential Palace (ex Royal Palace), government buildings, elegant houses, the Academy, the University, the National Library and Omonia Square are some of the places to see. Next the Roman Temple of Olympian Zeus and the Acropolis with its many monuments: the awesome Parthenon, the Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike and the Erechtheion with its Porch of Maidens will be seen along with the Acropolis Museum.
